Wolf D. Harhammer

Complementing the first part of the exhibition WOLF D. HARHAMMER – Two Realities (9 FEB - 26 MAY 2024), Museum Folkwang is presenting a second chapter from June with around 40 further works by the Stuttgart photographer from the world of the circus and funfair. With works by Barbara Klemm, Michael Kerstgens and Rudi Meisel, among others, the exhibition draws connections between Harhammer's portrait work and artistic-documentary positions from the Photographic Collection. What they have in common is the photographic investigation of a social reality of the 1970s and 1980s characterised by upheavals and contrasts.
