German Poster Museum

Everybody knows posters.
You see posters everywhere in the city.
For example:
• on bridge walls.
• as advertising boards.
• on round advertising pillars.

Posters are used for advertising.
For example, for politics.
Or advertising for events.
The German Poster Museum has been part of the
Folkwang Museum for 14 years.

It is a separate department in the museum.
The German Poster Museum is the only one of its kind
in Germany.

It has been holding exhibitions for 12 years.
Posters are made of paper
and are very delicate.
That is why the posters are only sometimes shown.
