Letters dance incessantly across the walls. Only if we look more closely do the names of the planets Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, Saturn and Venus become legible, names that artist Mischa Kuball projects onto mirror balls for his five planets. The reflected rays of light capture their surroundings, combining language, light and space. In the process, the multiple, tirelessly dancing reflections may evoke memories of music, of dance or trancelike states or even giddiness – the kind of feeling which, like weightlessness in the universe, erases our sense of being physically anchored in space. >five planet< thus also references the infinity and incomprehensibility of the cosmos.
