From March 20 to June 22, 2025, the Museum Folkwang is showing the exhibition Woman in Blue. Oskar Kokoschka and Alma Mahler. The concentrated show is dedicated to two great figures in art history: Oskar Kokoschka, pioneer of Expressionism, and Alma Mahler, composer, networker and confidante of many artists of Viennese Modernism. For the first time in more than 30 years, the Museum Folkwang is bringing together in one exhibition exclusively works by Kokoschka that were inspired by Alma Mahler.
