One One One
One chair, one dancer – that is the starting point for ONE ONE ONE. Whoever takes a seat becomes the focus of the dance: the dancers take up impulses from the seated person for their improvisation. They then dance for the seated person for as long as both sides maintain eye contact. A silent dialogue is created, an exclusive encounter and an opportunity to discover dance with new eyes.
ONE ONE ONE is a special encounter and is also diverse in its emotional and dance nuances and discoveries for those observing the scene. Developed in 2015, ONE ONE ONE can take place anywhere and has been performed in streets and squares, hospitals, schools and shopping centres around the world. At Museum Folkwang, visitors can experience ONE ONE ONE in the foyer, between the courtyards or in the Šablono collection room, either sitting or watching.
